North Country Economy Re-opening Update

AEDC is as committed as ever to assisting our North Country small businesses, especially in this recovery from the public health epidemic. Our ongoing business counseling and loan products are available to help!

Two updates have been released by the Small Business Administration (SBA). The Economic Injury Disaster Loan (EIDL) program is re-opened and can provide long term, low-interest loans to small businesses (including non-profits). The Payroll Protection Program (PPP) has been reauthorized with changes, including longer time period to use the benefits (through end of year) and a lower proportion (60%) required to be used for personnel costs.  Please contact Stephanie Donaldson sdonaldson@aedconline.com for more information about these programs which are accessed through the SBA.

As always, all of our business counseling is at no cost. AEDC can help you manage short-term solutions and priorities and planning for positioning to thrive as the  economy reopens. We are also working closely with many regional partners who have great information and access to other resources and are happy to connect you to what may fit best.

For information on AEDC microloan programs please contact Steven Garneau at sgarneau@aedconline.com. Contact Executive Director Victoria Duley at vduley@aedconline.com.

AEDC’s office is not open to the public yet, but staff are available for regular office hours Monday to Friday remotely and for video or telephone conferencing as well. Office staff are also checking phone messages daily at 518-891-5523.

Be well and we look forward to seeing you as business re-opens!
